The Nymphiades
An Odyssey of Sound & Story

Synopsis
The Nymphiades is a mythic dance performance in seven movements, tracing the memory of water through the bodies of nymphs. Inspired by ancient myths of the Hesperides, Dryads, Nereids, and Maenads, the piece unfolds as a living ritual of transformation. From whispers of springs to the turbulence of fire, storm, and ecstasy.
The performance blends contemporary dance, Butoh, and ensemble formations with ethereal soundscapes and live vocal elements. A climber ascends over the shifting terrain of bodies, veils ripple like currents, and chaos erupts before a final unifying dance restores harmony. Both playful and haunting, The Nymphiades invites audiences into a fairytale world where elemental forces and human emotions collide, leaving behind echoes of renewal and return.
